Wright Aviation provides a range of support services for our clients who own and operate their own aircraft. These include mentoring as you gain your initial operating experience (IOE), coaching and consulting as you fly your aircraft, as well as research and “second opinion” help aimed at helping you maintain a comfortable safety margin while getting optimum utilization out of their aircraft. We also provide direct piloting support in a variety of ways.
- Mentoring: Often, as you complete initial training in your Turboprop, and/or technically advanced aircraft, it can be beneficial (and sometimes an insurance requirement) to have a mentor fly with you, post training, for a certain number of hours, as you gain more operating experience in your airplane. In that process, we are there to answer your questions, help reinforce your understandings and cement positive processes as you put your initial training to work. It also includes serving as your backstop in a wide array of things, generally helping you get the most out of your initial operating experience.Beyond the IOE period, mentoring provides the same sort of guidance and support one would experience in other walks of life, supporting you, providing guidance when needed, helping open doors and answer questions, serve as a knowledge resource as well as source of second opinions and someone to discuss decisions with whose only interest is your safety and well being.
- Safety Pilot: There will be times when conditions are such that going it alone just isn’t the wisest course of action due, This can be due to any number of things – weather conditions, the importance of the trip or the importance of the business to be conducted on the trip. Whatever that reason might be, your Wright Aviation instructor can be called upon to provide a highly qualified pilot enabling you to complete the trip with confidence and peace of mind.
